Description:
Immunotherapy is increasingly used in oncology but can cause adverse events, for which little population-level data is available. The French National Health Data System (SNDS) provides a valuable opportunity to conduct observational studies; however, adapted methods are required to identify these adverse events.

The aim of the AlgoToxImm study is to develop and validate a targeting algorithm to identify, within the SNDS, the main severe immune-related toxicities (leading to temporary or permanent discontinuation of immunotherapy).

Validation will be performed by comparing the algorithm’s results with clinical data from patients treated with immunotherapy at Centre Léon Bérard, Institut Curie, and Institut Gustave Roussy.

This targeting algorithm will enable the implementation of studies within the SNDS on immune-related toxicities, offering the possibility to better estimate their incidence and risk factors, as well as to identify optimal management strategies.
