My research is rooted in social psychology of education and focuses on two main areas:
(1) psychosocial processes involved in academic success (self-evaluation bias, parental expectations, teacher judgment);
(2) psychosocial determinants of adolescent health-related behaviors and well-being, within an interdisciplinary and applied perspective.
Ludivine Jamain is an Associate Professor (Maîtresse de conférences) in Social Psychology at Université Lumière Lyon 2. Her work focuses on the psychosocial processes involved in academic achievement, as well as on the determinants of health behaviours and adolescents’ well-being, approached notably through the lens of social inequalities. She adopts a quantitative and interdisciplinary perspective in psychology and educational sciences. She is the academic coordinator of the first-year Master’s degree in Social Psychology at the Institute of Psychology in Lyon, and teaches social psychology and research methodology. Her research relies on cross-sectional, longitudinal, and quasi-experimental designs. She contributes to several collaborative and international research projects, and is currently co-supervising two PhD dissertations: one on school discrimination experienced by students with disabilities, and the other on understanding gender disparities in educational pathways, with a particular focus on elite tracks. She also regularly contributes to the dissemination of scientific knowledge through presentations at national and international conferences, and through educational collaborations with foreign institutions.
