Title of the thesis: Economic evaluation of introducing health innovations in a care pathway: application to organ transplantation in France

Year of registration: 2023

Co-supervisors: Dr Laure Huot, Pr Cyrille Colin, Mrs Pascale Guerre

Summary of the thesis: Health economic evaluation is a decision-making tool aimed at the efficient use of existing resources. This tool sometimes needs to be adapted to take into account the specificities associated with evaluating health innovations (lack of available data, high uncertainty for decision, etc.) and should be oriented towards an evaluation based on "real world data", related to the care pathway that will be changed after introducing the innovation. The aim of this thesis is to apply these methods to evaluate the introduction of health innovations in the care pathway of patients awaiting heart transplantation.
