Sander de Souza is a public health physician and university hospital assistant at Lyon University Hospital and Lyon Claude-Bernard University. He graduated from the European double master’s programme Europubhealth+ specialising in ‘Governance and Leadership in European Public Health’ (Granada and Maastricht universities), and holds a University Diploma in ‘Knowledge Enhancment in Sexual Health’ (Grenoble University).
Within the ‘Prevention, Promotion, Population Health’ (3P) unit, he is part of the team responsible for implementing the ‘Making Every Contact Count’ (MECC) approach in Lyon University Hospital.
His professional focus is on prevention prevention in all its forms, with a particular interest on sexual and reproductive health. He is therefore clinically active in the HIV/hepatitis/STI clinic at Croix-Rousse Hospital (Lyon University Hospital).
