- AXE-Cure: Expectations, Experiences, and Engagement of Stakeholders in HIV Cure Research
- Incorporating the perspectives of all stakeholders involved in emerging phenomena (HIV cure/remission trials, chemsex, PrEP, etc.)
- Mental and sexual health of vulnerable populations
Christel Protière, an econometrician and clinical psychologist at Inserm, began her career in oncology, focusing on patient preference assessment and shared medical decision-making, particularly in breast cancer. She later shifted her focus to HIV cure trials, chemsex, and PrEP. Her research is distinguished by an inclusive approach that integrates the perspectives of all stakeholders (patients, healthcare providers, associations, and policymakers). Combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies, she collaborates with organizations (AIDES, EATG, TrT5-CHV) and multidisciplinary teams to develop accessible, ethical, and psychosocially grounded medical innovations. Her internationally published work aims to transform healthcare practices by centering the experiences and needs of populations in research.
