Trained as a nurse specialized in anesthesiology and intensive care, Bouchra Amari progressively turned to research in public health and epidemiology. After completing her PhD at Inserm U1219 – Bordeaux Population Health on chronic ultraviolet radiation (UVR) exposure and its ocular and skin health effects, she joined Inserm U1290 RESHAPE – Université Lyon 2 as a postdoctoral researcher. Within the SOLSTEEN project, her work focuses on assessing solar exposure in school environments and understanding the psychosocial determinants of sun protection behaviors. Her research interests include environmental exposure modeling, UV-related health risk prevention, and evidence-based approaches to promoting protective behaviors.
