With a background in volunteer work on Well-Being indicators and initial professional experience in economics and statistics, Claire Pilet has joined the UMRESTTE epidemiology unit at Gustave Eiffel University in 2018. As a research engineer, she has been involved in several projects focusing on mobility, road traffic accidents and ageing. She was working on a thesis on the development of chronic pain linked to emotions experienced during a visit to the emergency departments, in partnership with the INSERM U1219 – Bordeaux Population Health unit.
Now a postdoctoral researcher, she works within a paediatric palliative care team (ESPPéRA, Centre Léon Bérard) since 2025 to carry out research support, supervision and project management tasks. She also develops and leads projects related to her areas of interest – patient-reported outcomes, feelings and vulnerability – in the field of paediatric palliative care.
