A social psychologist in health, Costanza Puppo is currently involved in the pedagogical development of a One Health approach applied to emerging infectious diseases (EIDs). She also coordinates the Socio-economy unit of the International One Health Master's program (VetAgro Sup Lyon). After working on the ANRS-Ipergay and ANRS-PREVENIR projects, she obtained her PhD in 2023 from the University of Lyon 2, under the supervision of Marie Préau. Her doctoral research focused on the development of social representations of Lyme disease among patients and general practitioners in France, within a context of scientific and societal controversy. Her publications are based on qualitative methods, comprehensive approaches, and participatory methods. Today, her research interests include theoretical and methodological reflections on the application of the One Health approach in human and social sciences. She also collaborates on interdisciplinary projects internationally, particularly in Gabon and Brazil, which focus more specifically on the perception of risk related to EIDs, representations of the three types of health, and preparedness for future pandemics.
