Le Dr Fairley Le Moal est chercheuse en sociologie, associée à RESHAPE Unité Inserm 1290, Université Lumière Lyon 2, ainsi que responsable scientifique chez Seintinelles. Les recherches de Fairley portent sur les approches participatives et la participation citoyenne dans la recherche sur le cancer, ainsi que sur la qualité de vie des patients participant à des essais cliniques sur le cancer, avec un intérêt particulier pour les inégalités sociales de santé. Elle a également mené des recherches dans les domaines de la sociologie de l'alimentation, de la famille et de la santé, explorant la consommation alimentaire et ses aspects sociaux et culturels, notamment en France et en Australie, les repas en famille et les processus de socialisation. Fairley est spécialisée dans les méthodologies de recherche qualitative, les approches participatives et communautaires. Fairley a mené sa thèse au Centre Max Weber, Université Lumière Lyon 2, en cotutelle avec Flinders University (Australie). Elle a des expériences postdoctorales à Flinders University et au Centre de recherche de l’Institut Lyfe.
